Perform at ShastaYama with Taiko Trek Instructors

Selected attendees will have the opportunity to perform at ShastaYama 2016 with the aforementioned instructors of Taiko Trek. It will be a debut performance of an original piece, which will be arranged and rehearsed during the camp. Limited capacity for number of performers and minimum 2 years performing experience is required for selected attendees. No additional charge for performing at ShastaYama. Please note that lodging at Mt. Shasta is not included.

This year ShasataYama is featuring a great list of taiko and performing artists.

On Ensemble Los Angeles based On Ensemble infuses taiko with a wide range of musical influences weaving taiko, ukulele, vibraphone, modern drum set, and winds.	Unit Souzou Michelle Fujii and Toru Watanabe of Portland, Oregon's Unit Souzou are well known for their dynamic fusion of taiko and Japanese folk dance.
Tadaima Russel Baba and Jeanne Mercer continue to pioneer new directions for music combining taiko, winds, and bass in the jazz improvisational tradition.	Shasta Taiko Mount Shasta's Shasta Taiko will share the stage with these outstanding guest artists in a celebration of taiko, dance, and music.
Sumie Kaneko Joining On Ensemble will be special guest Japanese koto and shamisen virtuoso and singer Sumie Kaneko.	GaryFitzgerald Joining Tadaima will be Los Angeles bassist Gary Fitzgerald.
